Jacob Miller became shot in the head at the Fight of Chickamauga on 19 September 1863. Basically the most important Union defeat in the Western Theater of the American Civil Battle, the battle resulted in the 2d-very most real looking amount of casualties after the Fight of Gettysburg. Left for unnecessary on the battle discipline, Miller regained consciousness hours later. Received $40 month pension
